Where to meet players?

Right so i'm currently running a hl2rp server but where i find myself in is; I have a massive lack of players/staff/people in general.
I want to ask if anyone could suggest me some place on these forums or elsewhere where to go to find those people.

Sorry if i'm posting in the wrong subforum but i don't want to make a community thread just yet as when i do do it i want to do it properly, which will be time consuming to say the least.

I'm experiencing issues with my clockwork server, but since I'm using a custom schema (here), I can't post a support thread, so I'll just post it here. I'd appreciate it if this were moved to the correct forum.

I forced myself as the owner, yet I'm not an SA of the server. I've tried reinstalling Clockwork, deleting, and re-uploading clockwork.cfg, and everything else people have been telling me to do, but nothing...

Can't really put this where it needs to be...

What entities are actually available for server owners to distribute in the HL2:RP schema?
For example, Paper or Breens water.
Is there a list I can use?

Haven't received download/serial key "Pending" HL2RP

I've waited 38 hours and still haven't received download access or a serial key.

I've crossed out some stuff for obvious reasons.

I've also sent a support ticket 12 hours 40 minutes ago, but haven't received a response.

If anyone knows a private server that doesn't have minges 24/7, badmins, crappy RP, and not a tossed up server, I'd be glad to join it. Please PM the ip of them....

Custom Loading Screen

I know there has been a lot of questions about how to change the loading screen for your server and such. But I want to know how to get that one loading screen where when you join it shows your profile picture and your name. It is used on Pi-Community HL2RP and HIVE HL2RP I believe. I'm not sure if that is a certain plugin or what. But I would appreciate some help. Thank you.

What's your vision for the perfect HL2RP Server?

How about we get a list going of traits of a HL2RP server that you like and would be on your perfect server?
Mine would be the following:
  • Not having restrictions on RP, other than ones that make sense for the setting (Half Life 2)
  • Rebels being mostly under equipped or not equipped at all
  • MPF that are dicks and don;t speak to citizens, like "Hey man"
  • CWU that are actually on and running shops
  • Not seeing every citizen in a jacket and seeing mostly people in their normal...

What's your vision for the perfect HL2RP Server?

New Server

I'm the Co-Owner of a new Half-Life 2 server that is currently in development, as I have spent nearly 1,500 hours in Clockwork Roleplay, you can expect I have personally seen a lot of servers die out. I'd love to hear what suggestions and ideas the Community has for a new server, or what they feel a server needs to stay alive etc. I am open to all ideas about lore etc, just post what you want below. Please stay civil.

I was thinking of doing this for awhile, but now that I kind of just jump from server to server on GMOD i can do it successfully, so expect these to be a reoccurring thing. Now onto the "review".

First seeing the server there were already major red flags. Use of City 45 (DOn't get me wrong its a nice map, but is overplayed most of the time), MPF needed in title, and its player count of around 20 players, which made it seem like it was going to be Earthfall's competition in who can attract...

Vor ungefähr 5-6 Monaten hatte ich in diesem Forum schon einmal nach "Hilfe" gesucht.
Mein Problem damals war das ich einen HL2RP Server eröffnen wollte, diesen aber Komplett auf Deutsch errichten wollte.
Leider kenne ich mich aber mit dem Spielmodus nicht zu 100 % aus, ein Grund dafür ist unter anderem das meine Englisch kenntnisse nicht die Besten sind :)

Built-In Crafting System Blueprint Question

I'm trying to figure out how to add new blueprints to the built-in crafting system, I've looked around but being the scrub I am, I found nothing. I'd really like it if I could get an example on how to add one if possible. I'm speaking of this crafting system, the one that is enabled throught the config settings in the system tab.

Introduction

For those who don't know, Nebulous Cloud is the most popular HL2RP server out right now, or from what I have seen. Just when I was getting pictures for the review it was quite early and yet there were over 60 people on. I had played Nebulous before, but decided to give it another chance as people told me it had "changed" and was "better". I won't even try and format this one , as I am writing this right after getting pictures and playing for maybe 15 minutes and its obvious that this server, spoiler alert, is by far one of the worst I have ever seen. While loading in was like any other server, with the generic character customization, with HL2TS models, once I was on my character, it turned for the worst. Notably was the emptiness of the train station on the most over used HL2RP map ever, Industrial 17, which might I add is...

I've seen people talk about this but never actually do anything with it.
